Abstraction is everywhere; it's the art of noticing that is important, I think. Dye on silk. You know when you close your eyes and see spots? That was the inspiration for this piece. It hangs from the ceiling, is two sided (different on the other side with square patterns rather than circular). The frame is 3-dimensional mahogany wood carved into bamboo looking rounds with a slit in the center so the art is sewn around acid free foam core and slid into the slots.
